Fortnite has released a brand new update this morning which all players will be required to download before they can continue with Fortnite Battle Royale.

This is only available across PS4, Xbox One and PC for the time being, but the update will be coming later today to Nintendo Switch as well.

However, unlike the usual Tuesday updates to the game you shouldn't expect to see any sweeping changes to the game.

Today's new update is merely a client update and as such shouldn't contain any massive new additions to the game.


The news was confirmed late last night by Epic Games official Fortnite Twitter account, who wrote:

"We have released a client update that contains a few stability/bug fixes. No downtime, but you will need to download the update.

• The only confirmed changes for today's new update are listed below:
• Fixed crashing issues with Fortnite version 2.03.
• Matchmaking performance improvements
• Fortnite update 2.03 added fixes for glitches.
• Added fixes for frame drop, stuttering and lag issues.
• Fortnite 2.03 update has added performance and stability improvements.
• Added various under the hood fixes.
• Added fixes for players reported glitches with Fortnite version 2.03.
